Today we finally began learning how to use RT communications with The Navigator; he is a very well spoken old Ex-RAF navigator who had some very important roles during his service. We hadn't really met him up till now, but he started off with a certain style. His phone went off just after he had introduced himself; he recovered with a well delivered communications based pun.
The Navigator
- "Oh, excuse me; how embarrassing. It must be Air Traffic Control with an important transmission."
He went away to answer it and returned shortly following.
"Oh, a tree has just fallen on my house, and broken my roof. But please, you shouldn't worry about it..!"
We continued the lesson how he meant to begin.
It is still worrying how much we have to learn and then revise before the exams..
